Correct the Price on a Paid Ticket
If you realize that a ticket was paid in Scrap Dragon at the wrong price, follow the instructions below to pay the difference to the customer while keeping your inventory values correct:
- Create a new ticket for the same customer
- Create a line on the ticket for the commodity that was paid out at the wrong price
- Enter a TARE WEIGHT that equals the net weight of the commodity that was purchased. Do not enter a gross weight for this line.
- Ensure that the price for that commodity is the same price that was paid out incorrectly on the original ticket.
- Create a second line on the ticket for the same commodity
- Enter a GROSS WEIGHT that equals the net weight of the commodity that was purchased. Do not enter a tare weight for this line.
- Note: Because the Gross Weight and Tare Weight are the same zero weight is added to your inventory
- Enter the correct price for that commodity
- Once the correct price is inserted into this line of the ticket, the ticket total will be the difference between the incorrect amount and the correct amount.
- For example if you mistakenly paid $0.30 per lb instead of $0.35 per lb and the customer brought in 100 lbs of material then your first ticket should have been for $30.00 and your second ticket will be for $5.00 ($0.35 *100 – $0.30 * 100 = $5.00)
- Pay the ticket
This process is only for tickets that are already paid.If the ticket is closed but not paid, simply reopen the ticket from the view closed ticket list and correct the price.
