CARS PROGRAM
The CARS program, aka Cash for Clunkers, requires that the disposal facility provide a Disposal Facility Certification Form to the Dealer or Salvage Auction for each vehicle purchased under the program. The dealer may prepare this form for the disposal facility to complete, although you must “certify under penalty of law that the document, and any attachments, were either prepared by me, or prepared under my direction or supervision”. If the dealer does not prepare the form, or you choose not to use the dealer prepared form, then it can be printed from Scrap Dragon.
Follow these steps:
- Unzip the attachment below into the dragon\forms folder on the server. NOTE: You must be logged in to download the file.
- In Scrap Dragon, Back Office; Maintenance; Setup; Local Computer Options on the Other Printing tab, find the section for Inventory Tag. Check the Print check box. Choose the number of copies. Choose a printer. For the report name, choose Dragon\forms\cars.frx. Save and Exit.
When the car is purchased, press Edit Details to enter the VIN, Make, Model, and Year. Click OK, Print. The Disposal Facility Certification Form will print.
