Setting up Scrap Dragon for Printing the Florida Deparment of Law Enforcement Forms
Important Note: The shortcut that runs Scrap Dragon on the local workstation must point to a complete UNC path (eg. \\fileserver\dragon\dragon.exe). You cannot run Scrap Dragon from a mapped drive letter (eg. s:\dragon\dragon.exe) and get the pictures required for the FDLE report.
REQUIREMENTS:
Scrap Dragon version 6.2a or higher.
JPEGger Service version 1 Build 145 or higher or JPEGger Service version 2.
There are 2 forms, depending on the scenario you will be using.
1. FDLE Cashier receipt (example attached) – this is a full page cashier receipt for printing on a laser printer. This will print with each transaction for the customer to sign and thumbprint. If you don’t have the electronic thumbprint reader AND the electronic signature pad, then you will need this process to meet the letter of the law. The report name and printer will be setup in Back Office; Maintenance; Setup; Local Comuter Options; Cashier Printing; Cashier Receipt.
2. FDLE on demand (example attached) – this is a full page police report for printing the required information, on demand. The report name and printer will be setup in Back Office; Maintenance; Setup; Local Computer Options; Scale Printing; Police Ticket Report, and will print from the ‘Reprint a Cashier Receipt’ user menu option. This report will satisfy the letter of the law, only if you have both the thumbprint reader AND the signature pad. A page of all transaction pictures can optionally print as well (example attached)
